Went to Bangkok for 4D3N with my childhood friend of close to 20 years.
This is my first time there and I only informed my family about my trip after booking everything.
I knew that they would not want to let me go if I have yet to book.
Sometimes, you just gotta take the risk to find out if the place is really safe to go.
Since many of my colleagues went there and told me how fun and nice the place is,
I decided to go there and experience myself.
Booked my flight and accomodation separately.
Flight to and fro is TigerAir (1 hour plus flight).
Accomodation is Glow Pratunam (recommended by my friend, Dorisa).
Pre-flight & Day 1
Took a morning flight to Bangkok since we are flying on a Sunday and that I've been wanting to go to Chatuchak (it's only open on weekend).
Reached the airport around 4am plus close to 5am, checked-in our baggage and went for some quick breakfast at Macs.
Bought the sim card from the Changi Recommend counter to use at BKK.
SGD20 bucks for 3GB worth of internet (data) for my trip (how cool is that).
Since the sim card data was rather big, I used it to Facetime my mum everyday, before I go out of the Hotel and after I come back to the Hotel.
Frankly speaking, I was super duper excited that I am finally going to the land of smiles.
For those who have long legs, and if you don't feel comfortable for not being able to fully stretch your legs, TigerAir is not a good option for you.
I suffered a little since the leg space is rather small and I had a difficult time trying to adjust my position to sleep (Lucky I took window seat,so I could lean against the wall as support).

Since it's just a 1 hour plus flight, I did not purchase in-flight meal.
Touch down in BKK around 8:40AM.

Immediately switch on my phone to get connected to the sim card that I have insert before the plane touch down.
You don't need to follow the instruction manual to do so many steps to login this or login that.
I simply switch on my phone and got connected to the internet immediately.
I was so amazed by everything I see.
Luckily I had planned everything before the trip and simply just look at what I have searched and collected.
Check-out at the arrival hall was done quickly and smoothly.

My poor friend was tired because she had to work on the day prior to our flight.
Found our way to the train station to get to our Hotel.
Thanks to the data that I could constanly use it for google map without fail although I was a little lost at first.
2 girls carrying luggage here and there to get to the Hotel since we missed the traffic light to get to the right direction.
Finally managed to get to the Hotel and did a pre-registration since we reached the Hotel around 11AM.
Did a quick touch up before we head to Chatuchak for a walk around.
(Sweating like mad since the weather was rather hot).
Travelling was really easy via the train though many who went would recommend tuk-tuk or the taxi but I opted for train.

The back of the train card that you purchased from the ticket machine, shows the different train station for easier access.
Because we didn't go far, it was easy to get to places that we want to go to.
Alot of people say that there is so many stuffs to get from Chatuchak but I would differ on it.
I only bought a slingbag with my name on it, a card holder and 5 top (3 with sleeve and 2 sleeveless).

Items that I bought from Chatuchak
Head back to the Hotel to keep some stuffs and had our first meal (lunch) at Sab Sab wanton noodle.
Perhaps I'm not a fan of oily food, so the wanton noodle was not to my liking.

The wanton noodle that I find it a little oily for me.
Lucky our rooms was ready rather fast after we had our first meal.
Our room is located on the 19th floor, their highest was the 20th.
Asked for a twin bedded room though they did not show the option on third party reservation website which I did manage to find the twin bed option via their official Hotel website.

The view from our room
Went to the room to change clothes and had a nap since both of us are a little tired.
Didn't do much for the rest of the night except walking around our Hotel area since we are still a stranger to BKK and the area we are staying.

My loots for Day 1. Dull color clothes (grey, black, white)
Day 2
Breakfast at McDonald which is just below our Hotel.
Head to Siam after that.

Walked around Siam Paragon and Siam Centre.
Siam Paragon is somewhat like Orchard ION, high class area.
Siam Centre is like normal shopping mall, Vivo or Plaza Singapura.
My friend was trying to find the "Melissa" brand jelly shoe for her friend who had asked her to help buy on behalf.
My elder sis text me after I left the place to help her find one "Melissa" shoe.
Too bad, we had tried our best to find it but couldn't locate the store at all.
Had our lunch at a Japanese restaurant at Siam Centre.

Tadaa~ This is what I had. (Missing out on a salmon sushi photo)

Went to try out Mango Tango which sells mango related desserts.

Chose this mango set with glutinous rice covered with coconut milk. Fresh mango with mango ice cream.
Bought a black sandal for work at a nearby small shopping area.
Went to MBK after that and managed to find the durian chips which I have been yearning for.
Bought some other tibits that looks nice (mum love the one in the round box).
Bought a top for my friend which has the cigarrette and lighter cartoon.

Went back to the Hotel for a quick relieve and touch up.
Had chicken rice for dinner since we have no idea what to have.
Chicken rice was the number 2 in BKK area.

Head to Big C after food and bought some tibits.
The famous pocky, seaweed, milo nugget (bigger pack than those in SG).
Black shorts bought at a market nearby to Big C.

Day 3
Breakfast at Sab Sab but this time round, tried the pork trotter rice that I wanted to try since Day 1 (it looks yummy).

This is the yummy pork trotter rice that I am missing so much

Shopped at the morning market that is in the alley next to our Hotel which is called the Pratunam Morning market.
Didn't realise that it was rather near to our Hotel and had walked a big round (following the Google map),
Didn't realise that it was rather near to our Hotel and had walked a big round (following the Google map),
In fact, only locals know the right and fastest way to get to Pratunam Morning Market.
Bought quite a few clothings from the market and also from Platinum Fashion Mall.

3 shorts, 1 outer dress and 1 top bought from Pratunam Morning Market.
2 shirt bought from the mall next to our Hotel for dad.
Went back to Hotel to place the stuffs that we bought from the morning market.
Not forgetting that I bought a slingbag for mummy.

Had a quick bite at A&W which is a Pantip Mall (opposite our Hotel)

I missed this in Singapore but the taste was not what I had imagine.
Didn't try the waffle with ice cream so I had ice cream float instead.
Decided to spend money for some well deserved massage after the 3 days of non-stop walking.

My friend fell asleep amidst her massage. I almost did.
Dinner at the hawker just next to our Hotel entrance after going back to our room for some quick rest and bowel "unloading".

Our fancy dinner to end our last night in BKK

Loots that I bought since Day 1
Went for a last round of walk at Big C to see if there is anything else to buy.
Day 4
Woke up for a last round of the pork trotter rice.

Kept drinking Chrysanthemum tea since Day 1. It's nice.
Went back to Hotel to do last minute packing.

Some nuggets and fried crab meat to end our last meal in BKK.
I love their lychee tea from Macs.
Tried the lychee tea from McDonalds
Some quick walk around our Hotel before having some more quick food before our airport transfer come to pick us up to the airport.

Photos tour of our room (not arranged according to order)

Booked our transportation the day before since it was rather cheap to get to the airport.
500baht for 2 pax.

Afternoon flight back to Singapore, flight was delayed around half an hour.
Reached Singapore around 830PM.
I'll definitely go back again because there is so much place that I didn't get to visit because the duration I stayed was so little.
We were basically rushing through.
I'll be back BKK
